Green pool cleanup
A green pool isn't a lost pool. It's a chemistry problem with a filter problem behind it, and both get fixed.
How we bring a green pool back
First we look at how green it is. Light green with a visible floor is a chemical job: heavy shock, algaecide, hours of brushing, and the filter run around the clock and cleaned as it clogs. Dark green or black where you can't see the steps is a different job, and sometimes the honest answer is to drain it, acid wash the plaster, and refill with fresh water.
We tell you which one it is when we see the pool in person. Chemically recovering a pool that's been a swamp all summer can cost more in chlorine and filter cleanings than a drain, and it leaves stained plaster behind. We'd rather say that at the start than surprise you with a second bill.
- Pool assessed in person before we quote the recovery
- Shock, algaecide and daily brushing for chemical recoveries
- Filter cleaned as often as it clogs during the process
- Drain and acid wash when the algae has stained the plaster
- Water rebalanced and stabilizer set so it doesn't come back
Why it turned green in the first place
Pools go green for a reason, and if we don't find it the pool goes green again. The usual suspects are a filter that's been dirty for months, a pump that stopped running because of a timer or a failed motor, stabilizer so high the chlorine can't work, or a pool that sat unattended through a rainy stretch.
So cleanup includes a look at the equipment. If the pump is dead we say so. If the filter cartridge is torn we say so. A green pool that gets cleared and then handed back to the same broken filter is a green pool in three weeks.
Think your pool needs green pool cleanup?
We come look at it and quote it in person.

We have not reprinted any of them here. The link opens our Google profile so you can read them at the source, which is worth more than a quote we picked ourselves.

It depends on how green it is and how well the filter works. A light green pool with a healthy filter clears in days. A black pool with a struggling filter can take much longer, which is when we talk about draining.
Not until the chlorine comes back down to a normal range and the water tests balanced. Clear and safe are two different checkpoints.
Call us. We'll look at the pool and the equipment together, because on a foreclosure or a house that sat empty the pump and filter are usually part of the problem.
Done right, no. Done wrong, in high groundwater, a pool shell can lift. We check the water table and use a hydrostatic relief before we drain anything in this area.
We photograph the roof and show you. If green pool cleanup is not what the roof needs, we say so and quote the work it does need.
