Seventies and eighties neighborhoods

Spring Lake Hills, the streets around Lake Orienta, and the neighborhoods off Maitland Avenue were built mostly in the seventies and eighties. The pools there are original to the homes or close to it, with plaster past its life, tile lines calcified, and skimmers and returns that show their age.

We do a lot of resurfacing and equipment replacement in Altamonte. The common pattern is a pool that's been limping along on a patched pump and a filter that's too small, and an owner ready to do it right.

Lakes and tree cover

Lake Orienta, Lake Brantley and the smaller lakes around town keep the ground wet and the water table high, and the older neighborhoods are heavily treed. Shade and debris are the daily problem, and the filters here clog sooner than in the open subdivisions further north.

Oak pollen in March and April is thick enough here to turn a pool yellow along the waterline and clog a cartridge in a week. Spring filter cleanings are a regular part of our Altamonte schedule.

Condos and community pools

Altamonte has more condo and apartment communities than most of the towns we serve. Those pools need logged chemistry for health inspections and a company that shows up on a schedule. We handle commercial service here as well as backyard pools.
