Ranch homes and their pools

Casselberry was built out in the sixties and seventies, with ranch homes on lots along Lake Howell, Lake Kathryn, and the chain of lakes that runs through town. The pools behind those homes are among the oldest we service. Many have had one resurface already and are due for another, and the equipment pads have been rebuilt by a string of different companies.

Older pools here often have main drains, skimmers and returns that don't meet current standards. When we resurface we talk about updating those at the same time.

Lakes on every side

With water all through town, the ground is wet and the water table is high. That matters for draining, and it matters for pool pads that sit low and get flooded in a heavy summer. A pump motor that has been under water needs to be checked before it runs again.

The lakes also mean bugs, pollen and lake breeze debris landing in unscreened pools. Casselberry has a lot of them. The weekly visit here is heavier on skimming and brushing than it would be inside a cage.

Green pools and homes changing hands

Casselberry has a steady flow of older homes changing hands, and the pool is often the thing the last owner gave up on. We bring green pools back and tell you straight whether it's chemistry or a drain.
