Errol Estate and the older side

Errol Estate and the neighborhoods around downtown and toward Wekiwa Springs were built in the seventies and eighties, and the pools there are original. Plaster is thin, tile is falling off, and the equipment pads have been pieced together over the years. Big oaks over the older streets add leaf load and shade.

We do a lot of resurfacing and equipment replacement in that part of Apopka, and a lot of green pool recoveries on homes that have changed hands.

The new subdivisions

North and west, toward Kelly Park and the Wekiva Parkway, Apopka is building at a pace few towns match. The pools there are new, screened, on salt, with variable speed pumps and automation. The problems are different: cells scaling on hard water, pumps left at full speed all day, and owners who were never shown how the system works.

New pools also go through a cure period where the plaster needs daily attention for weeks. If your builder handed you a new pool and a brochure, we can take it from there.

Nurseries, springs and the water

Apopka's foliage nurseries and the spring fed groundwater both shape the pools here. Fertilizer drift raises phosphates in pools near growing operations, and the aquifer water is hard, so calcium and scale are a constant.
