The pools inside the gates

Heathrow was developed as a golf community off the interstate, with large lots and homes built from the eighties through the two thousands. The pools match: big, screened, with spas, waterfalls, sun shelves and full equipment pads. Many are on salt and many have automation that runs the lights, the heater and the pump on a schedule.

The oldest pools in Heathrow are now well past the age where original plaster and tile hold up. We do a lot of resurfacing here, and because the finishes on these pools were often upgraded quartz or pebble to begin with, matching the look takes a real conversation about samples.

Golf course lots and the water

Homes on the fairways deal with fertilizer and reclaimed irrigation water blowing onto the screen and into the pool. That raises phosphates and feeds algae in a pool that otherwise tests fine. We check phosphates on Heathrow pools and treat when they climb.

Full sun over most of the community means high chlorine demand and the need to keep stabilizer in range so the chlorine survives the afternoon.
