Two very different Leesburgs

Downtown Leesburg and the neighborhoods around it have older homes with pools that were added over decades. Shaded, often unscreened, on plumbing that's been patched many times. The plaster is usually stained and the equipment is a mix of eras.

South and west, the Plantation at Leesburg, Royal Highlands and the other large communities near the county line are newer, with screened pools on salt and heaters for winter swimming. The owners there mostly want the pool kept ready and a note telling them it's done.

Between two big lakes

Leesburg sits between Lake Harris and Lake Griffin, both large enough to make their own weather. Afternoon storms roll off the water hard, and the breeze carries pollen and insects onto every pool in town. Lots near either shore sit on high groundwater, which matters before any drain.

Storm runoff on the lower streets can put a pool pad under water in a wet summer. A motor that's been submerged needs checking before it runs again.

Hard water and heaters

Fill water here is hard, so calcium and scale are constant. And because so many Leesburg owners heat their pools through the winter, heater service, both gas and heat pump, is a bigger part of our work here than in the towns closer to home.
