Water on every side

Tavares sits on a strip of land between Lake Dora and Lake Eustis, with the Dora Canal connecting them. Almost every neighborhood is close to a shoreline. The water table is high across town, the ground stays damp, and the lake breeze keeps a steady supply of bugs and pollen landing on the water.

Draining a pool here without checking groundwater and opening a relief valve is how a shell lifts. It's the first thing we look at before any acid wash or resurface in Tavares.

Retirement communities and older homes

Royal Harbor and the other over fifty five communities along the lakes have newer screened pools, many with heaters and salt systems. The owners there generally want the pool kept perfect with as little involvement as possible, and a weekly note that says it's done.
